Ally Palmer is collaborating with Suitcase Records and Palomino Sound Recorders for a one night only LIVE album recording. You will get to experience the process of creating and recording a live album, inside a family-run vinyl pressing plant, with Ally’s 6-piece band. This special night will also be the launch of Tristen’s (Palomino Sound Recorders) brand new, custom built mobile studio. This will be a one time only, special intimate show, and we will be creating something magical together. Limited spots—don’t miss out. Ally Palmer is a multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter. After touring Australia as a keyboardist for a range of bands and artists, in 2016 Ally decided to take the plunge and pursue her original music. She has since released two EP’s, her debut album, “Need You Around” (2022), and her most recent album ‘Take Me To The Water’ (2025). She has shared the stage with some of Australia’s top artists’ including Pete Murray, The Dreggs, Kim Churchill, Alex Lloyd and Phil Jamieson (Grinspoon), and has played some of Australia’s top festivals such as Woodford Folk Festival, Byron Bay Bluesfest and Blues On Broadbeach. Tristen at Palomino Sound Recorders has run recording studios in Melbourne & Adelaide since 2014, and this event marks the beginning of something very special. A new, custom built mobile studio retrofitted into from Millard caravan from 1978. Blending the best of vintage and modern recording technology, Palomino Sound Recorders will be capturing Ally’s live album on site, as the mobile studio makes its maiden voyage! Suitcase Records is a family run vinyl pressing plant in Brisbane/Meanjin that is passionate about helping artists to make music. “We love music and work hard to make records in a way that benefits not just musicians, but our community and the environment as well”.
